North West Regional College, North Battleford campus, along with Canada-Saskatchewan Career and Employment Services held the 2014 Try-A-Trade Career Fair in North Battleford on Wednedsday at the Northland Power Curling Centre. This initiative aimed to bring students, the general public and trade exhibitors together in one venue for an interactive marketing and learning experience. Try-A-Trade annually targets students in Grades 9-12 who are currently deciding on post-secondary training and careers. The day included interactive displays and exposure to future employers and training in the trades, allowing students to investigate trades as a career option. There were presentations from many different occupations from agriculture and manufacturing to hairstyling and construction with a variety of opportunities for hands-on demonstrations.Photos by Jayne Foster
