One man is dead and another injured following a crash at Gladstone Avenue and Independent Street in Yorkton Friday morning.
The incident occured at approximately 1:15 a.m. when the car collided with a power pole at the corner. Police said the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His male passenger was transported to hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
Gladstone remained closed between Simpson Street and Franklin Drive for approximately 12 hours as the police investigation continued and SaskPower fixed a damaged power pole.
RCMP are not releasing any more details at this time. It is not known if alcohol was a factor in the collision.
