Velma Cowan June 21, 1927 - August 29, 2011 Velma Cowan passed away suddenly in Estevan, Sask. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Velma is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Lindy Cowan (Chris Hatley) Toronto, Ont., Gay (Jim) Harris, Estevan, Sask.; Grandchildren, Ryan and Alyssa Harris of Estevan. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas; her parents, Louis and Alvina Johnson; sister, Thelma Needham; brothers, Alvin Johnson and Clarence Johnson. A Memorial Service for Velma was held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Mr. Doug Third officiating. Interment followed in the Estevan City Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Estevan Branch #60 in Velma's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
