William "Henry" Knox August 2, 1909 - July 22, 2011 Henry passed away in the Estevan Regional Nursing Home on Friday, July 22, 2011 at the age of 101 years.

William "Henry" Knox August 2, 1909 - July 22, 2011 Henry passed away in the Estevan Regional Nursing Home on Friday, July 22, 2011 at the age of 101 years. Henry was born in Estevan and went to school in Bromhead where his parents William and Eva Knox farmed. In 1931 he married Vera Munshaw and in 1935 moved to the Hogan farm. They were blessed with three children: son Dalton, and daughters, Hazel and Eunice (now deceased). With Vera's ill health he moved to Estevan, and in 1975 Vera passed away. Henry worked for the Estevan Co-op for 15 years transporting fuel to farmers and locals, meeting their fuel needs. In 1977 he married Lil Piper and she passed away in 2004. Henry was active in church work and the Gideons. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, we are thankful for his lot in life. He is predeceased by his parents William and Eva Knox, one brother, seven sisters. He is survived by his son Dalton, daughter Hazel, his grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Monday, July 25, 2011, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with the Rev. Mike Sinclair officiating. Interment followed in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. A luncheon followed the interment at Trinity Lutheran Church, Estevan. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make donations to the Estevan Regional Nursing Home Auxiliary, 1921 Wellock Rd., Estevan, Sask., S4A 2B5 in Henry' s memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, Sk. Thank You We would like to take the time to thank the Estevan Regional Nursing Home and Hillview Manor nurses and staff and Dr. Bredenoord for the care dad received. Thanks to Rev. Mike Sinclair for your kind words at dad's service. Thanks to the Trinity Lutheran Ladies for serving lunch, to Wilma Bjorndalen and Friends for your musical contribution, to the pallbearers, all our friends for their support, and especially Hall Funeral Services and Staff for all you did.
