Break and enters still a going concern for Unity RCMP

Unity Reports

RCMP received a report of trespassing. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter at an oil site. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members received a complaint of a break and enter at a business in a rural area near Unity. This matter is still under investigation.

Police are investigating a complaint of fraud.

RCMP received a report of an unwanted individual at a residence. This matter is still under investigation.

Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

Police received a report of a lost dog. The animal was located.

RCMP received a complaint of an individual damaging a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of disturbing the peace. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

RCMP received another complaint of disturbing the peace. Members attended. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

Members are investigating a complaint of a break and enter at an oil site near Senlac.

Police received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

There were also three traffic complaints and six false alarms.

Wilkie Report

There was one traffic complaint.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a complaint of an individual driving while impaired. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

Oil lease break-in leads to charges by Unity RCMP

Unity RCMP have charged 35-year-old  Provost, Alta., man with a break and enter and theft after there was a report of a break-in to an oil lease site near the community of Winter on Nov. 27. He was also charged with possession of stolen copper wire in relation to this event.  In addition to these charges he was charged with possession of a stolen pickup truck, possession of a stolen driver’s licence, possession of a stolen licence plate and breaches of two undertakings for failing to keep the peace and possession of ammunition while on an undertaking not to possess ammunition. He appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Nov. 28 and was remanded in custody to Nov. 30.
