From the big house to the mad house for Patterson

Playing in front of 100,000 fans at Michigan would be pressure packed, but playing in front of Rider Nation at home and across the world is a whole other type of pressure.

REGINA - Saskatchewan Roughrider quarterback Shea Patterson is set to make his first start for Rider Nation, stepping in for injured QB Trevor Harris. The pressure is on for Patterson as Rider Nation extends far beyond Regina and across the world.

Despite his impressive college career at the University of Michigan, Patterson's last outing against Hamilton showcased some nerves, completing just 4 of 10 passes for 41 yards. With offensive coordinator Marc Mueller at the helm, the game plan will need to cater to Patterson's strengths to ensure success.

Former Rider star QB Darian Durant emphasized the challenges of transitioning from a backup to a starter, citing his own experience and success.

For nervous riders we don't have to wait much longer, our Saskatchewan Roughrider gameday coverage kicks off at 4 pm with Countdown To Kickoff on 620 CKRM, with the pre-game show also available for streaming on the SportsCage Youtube channel.

The spotlight is on Shea Patterson to see if he can go from the big house to the mad house that is Rider nation and get his first win as a starter.
