REGINA - Seven day forecasts across Saskatchewan are looking good.
Most of us are going to see sunny days and mild temperatures, even venturing above zero midweek in some areas. Towards the south, there may be some risk of freezing rain as temperatures are slightly higher, as in Estevan for example.
But for the most part, mild winter temperature are expected to be the norm. No alerts, no warnings, no watches.
Not so for British Columbia. On the heels of one disaster, another weather event is on its way.
The atmospheric river that has played havoc with the western province will continue to make matters worse. A third atmospheric river system drawing significant moisture across the Pacific from the Philippines could hit the B.C. coast as early as Tuesday. Rain, snow and avalanches are in the forecast and Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Rob Fleming Friday “Consider restricting your travel because we’ve got significant weather events on the way.”
