Regina police investigate shooting

REGINA — Police are asking the public for their assistance in an investigation into a firearm discharge that occurred overnight in Regina.

Regina Police Services said that during the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 24, at approximately 5 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Angus Street for a report of someone being shot. Police arrived and located a 38-year-old male with a gunshot wound. The male victim was transported to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment. At this time, the victim’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening and he is in stable condition.

Police are requesting that residents in the area with video surveillance check for overnight activity that could assist in this investigation. Anyone who may have information to assist police is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
