Amazon announced a full slate of new products and services at its re:Invent 2023 conference, but the star of the show was undoubtedly the introduction of "Q," an AI-powered chatbot designed to streamline various business operations for AWS (Amazon Web Services) customers.
Q integrates with commonly-used business applications like Salesforce, Jira, Zendesk, Gmail, and Amazon S3 storage. By indexing data from these connected applications, Q learns about a company's structure, terminology, and key products, allowing it to answer complex questions, generate content, summarize, analyze data, and automate workflows and processes.
Importantly, Q knows AWS products and services inside out, and it's capable of suggesting appropriate AWS solutions for different types of applications and workloads.
The trend of "talking" to data using natural language interfaces (chatbots) is clear. If you are interested in talking to your data, please reach out. We're excited about Q – and we're looking forward to helping our clients deploy it – but there are many ways to use AI to talk to your data, and I'd welcome the opportunity to chat with you about them.
As always your thoughts and comments are both welcome and encouraged. Just reply to this email. -s
