Greetings from beautiful downtown Racine, WI. I'm here to talk about AI and commerce for a very special client.

I received quite a bit of email yesterday about my Sunday essay, "." Nearly everyone was asking how you find out who is responsible for training the biggest foundational models (GPT-4, Gemini, Claude, etc.). The answer: I'm the wrong person to ask. You'll have to ask the companies about your specific model of interest. What's important (and why you should read the essay) is that when you want to create an AI tech stack that is intended to enhance and customize any foundational model for your use, you're going to have to go through a very similar process.

As always your thoughts and comments are both welcome and encouraged. Just reply to this email. -s
