ST. WALBURG — Christine Seguin has been hired as chief administrative officer by St. Walburg town council
Seguin has been with the town for more than six years and is well-known as a strong community builder and leader. The appointment as chief administrative officer will be effective April 1.
“We were pleased with the open competition process that attracted a good field of candidates for the chief administrative officer position,” said Mayor Nancy Schneider.
Schneider added, “Our final decision was unanimous and it came down to Christine demonstrating a solid knowledge of the municipal dynamics, combined with a strong presence in our community, which we really appreciate.”
The town describes the chief administrative officer as a key leadership position that reports directly to mayor and council. Responsibilities related to the position require a solid understanding of the municipal world with strong administrative, financial and political acumen.
“I am very excited about this opportunity and I look forward to working with mayor and council, staff and residents of our community in the role of chief administrative officer,” said Seguin. Seguin.
“Building a team to include finding a replacement for myself (assistant chief administrative officer) will be my first top priority.”.
