RCMP search for suspect after firearm pointed at homeowner near Battlefords

RCMP are searching for a suspect near the Battlefords after a firearm was reportedly pointed at a homeowner Saturday morning.

BATTLEFORDS — RCMP in the Battlefords area are searching for a suspect after a firearm was reportedly pointed at a homeowner from a passing vehicle Saturday morning.

According to a message issued through the Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Network on Sunday, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on a rural property in the RM of Round Hill, near Range Road 3143 north of Highway 750.

Suspect truck appears to be an early 1990's Mazda B Series truck with running boards or early 1990's Dodge Ram 50.

As the vehicle passed the property, someone inside allegedly pointed a firearm at the homeowner.

RCMP are patrolling the area and urge the public not to approach the vehicle if spotted. Instead, witnesses are asked to call 310-RCMP or 911 in an emergency.
