WILKIE - A woman is facing several charges including sexual assault following alleged reports at an adult care facility in Wilkie.
Police report on Feb. 28, 2024, Wilkie RCMP received a report of multiple physical and sexual assaults that occurred at a care facility.
After investigating, police determined that between January 2023 and February 2024, at least four adult residents of the facility were assaulted, sexually assaulted and/or threatened by a female staff member. She has not worked at the facility since February 2024.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old woman from Wilkie was arrested on Feb. 29, 2024, and charged with: four counts of assault; three counts of sexual assault; one count of sexual assault with a weapon; and one count of uttering threats.
She appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Aug. 26. Her next court appearance will be Sept. 16.
