This year has seen an increase with over 30 vendors joining the Carrot River Trade Show.

CARROT RIVER – Carrot River will be busy this weekend with its annual trade show, held March 14 and 15 at the Carrot River Community Hall.

This year has seen an increase in participation, with over 30 vendors attending the trade show, organized by the Carrot River Economic Development Board. Lunch and dinner will be available for purchase throughout the event.

Miranda Baber, community development manager, said, “We had so many interested vendors that we added an expansion that runs the same dates and times out of the Carrot River United Church. We do have our Outback Artisans on location hosting art workshops.”

Also happening this weekend is the Winter Final Chainsaw Competition. “This is a local group who hosts the event annually in support of local programs or projects. All the proceeds will go to a local program or group of their choice and is a way to carry a long-standing tradition on in our community. This competition has been happening for well over 40 years,” Baber said.

The trade show offers local businesses the opportunity to showcase themselves while drawing people from across the region to see their products and take advantage of specials.

“It is the perfect opportunity to connect with your neighbours and support local.”
