HUMBOLDT — A record has been broken with the number of inpatient hospitalizations due to COVID-19 within the Central East zone, which includes Humboldt, Yorkton and Melville.

As of Feb. 3, there are 19 people in inpatient care. The previous record was 17, seen back on March 7, 2021.

There were three recorded deaths on Feb. 3 due to COVID-19, matching records set on Oct. 26, 2021 and Oct. 2, 2021.

In the intensive care unit, there are three people as on Feb. 3. On Feb. 2, there were four and Jan. 27, six. The record is eight, last seen on Oct. 28, 2021.
