Five-year milestone for children’s hospital

Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation celebrates and looks to the future.

SASKATOON — Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF) is marking the five-year anniversary of Saskatchewan’s only dedicated maternal and children’s hospital.

Since opening its doors in September 2019, countless stories of hope, healing and resilience have emerged within the walls of JPCH.

This milestone was made possible by the support of donors, including the contribution of Jim Pattison and thousands of other dedicated supporters across Saskatchewan. Their belief in the power of community and the importance of pediatric health care has helped shape JPCH into the world-class facility it is today, a press release states.

“When Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital opened five years ago it was the culmination of the efforts of many people, including the generous support of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation,” SHA CEO Andrew Will said.

“Today, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital continues to play a vital role in the health-care journey of Saskatchewan’s mothers and children, and we are thankful for the contributions of our staff, physicians and philanthropic partners at JPCHF for their dedication and service.”

“You only need to walk through the walls of JPCH to see the tangible impact of Saskatchewan’s generosity. It is with deepest gratitude that we acknowledge this children’s hospital was built with incredible donors whose tireless support made this dream a reality,” says Brynn Boback-Lane, president and CEO, JPCHF.

“Our Foundation also extends great appreciation to our partners Saskatchewan Ministry of Health, Saskatchewan Health Authority, University of Saskatchewan-College of Medicine and JPCH staff for their infallible dedication and commitment to the children and moms-to-be across Saskatchewan. With this combined devotion, our province is posed for continued excellence in pediatric and maternal care.”

In celebration of this milestone, JPCHF created a commemorative and of its newsletter.
