NORTHERN SASKATCHEWAN - Heavy snowfall is expected Thursday in a swath across northern areas of the province with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm.

Environment Canada says heavy snow will begin early Thursday morning and continue during the day, likely to taper off before Friday morning.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

Check the Highway Hotline as road conditions are likely to deteriorate.
