Various reasons for weekend road closures in Saskatoon

Summer is the construction season in Saskatoon.

SASKATOON — Several roads in the city will again be closed for a few hours to one day on Saturday due to different reasons.

Spadina Crescent between 21st and 23rd streets start at 7 a.m. for a film shoot and is expected to reopen by 1 p.m., weather permitting and barring unforeseen circumstances. 

A portion of 8th Street between Boychuk Drive and Wess Road will close at 7 a.m. on Saturday for roadway patching. This project will take one day to complete.

The Highway 16 westbound ramp to Circle Drive northbound will close starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday for road resurfacing. The project will take one night to complete.

On Monday, Aug. 12, Avenue H will be closed between 28th Street and Bedford Road for connection replacements starting at 7 a.m. This project will take two days to complete.

Road paving will close 20th Street between 1st Avenue and Idylwyld Drive on Monday, Aug. 12, at 7 a.m. The project will take three days to complete.

Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. These detours may affect Saskatoon Transit.
