SASKATOON — Gary and Wendy Wolitski are the newest winners on the Big Spin! The Warman couple were thrilled to discover the Big Spin ticket they purchased won not only $10,000, but a date with the Big Spin prize wheel.
On August 15, Gary stepped up to the Big Spin wheel and spun a $150,000 prize.
“It’s so exciting!” said Gary while claiming the initial $10,000 prize. “When Wendy first showed me the scan, I thought we had won $1,000.”
“When we figured out it was $10,000 plus a minimum $100,000 prize at the event – wow!”
“And oh my God,” Wendy added. “We’re both so happy!”
The couple said they have a couple ideas for their windfall.
“We will probably put it in the bank for a bit,” said Gary. “But we were planning on going to Ireland; this will help get us there sooner than we had expected.”
The couple purchased their winning ticket at Pioneer Co-op – Springs Drive Convenience Store, located at 1860 Springs Dr. in Swift Current.
How the Big Spin works
The Big Spin is a $5 instant ticket with one major difference: players can win cash prizes the same way as with a regular scratch ticket, but can also uncover a ‘Spin Win” which lets them discover their prize through an animated prize wheel at any Lotto Spot retailer. If the player’s Spin Win prize is a “Big Spin”, they win $10,000 plus a chance to spin a prize wheel that guarantees them at least another $100,000, and possibly up to $500,000!
Tickets for THE BIG SPIN are available at Lotto Spot retailers throughout the province.
