Woman accused of killing Jeremy Starblanket has more court appearances

Starblanket’s body was found at the scene of a house fire and the fire department said the explosion at the house blew the building off of its foundation

PRINCE ALBERT – A woman accused of killing 29-year-old Jeremy Starblanket of Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation has made numerous appearances in court and the matter continues to be adjourned.

Loretta Sakebow, 31, was arrested in July 2021 after Prince Albert Police released her photo and issued a Canada-wide warrant for her arrest on a charge of second-degree murder.

Prince Albert Police say that Starblanket was murdered on March 20, 2021. Starblanket’s body was found at the scene of a house fire and in the 500 block of 5 Street East in Prince Albert. Prince Albert Fire Department said the explosion at the house blew the building off of its foundation.

Sakebow is now scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court May 12.
