In total there were 74 athletes that competed. Six clubs competed, including the Tisdale Twisters, Nipawin Revolution, Saskatoon Marian, Waldheim Valley and Moose Jaw Gymtastiks.
Calico hadn’t hosted a competition since 2020.
“It was a good competition for sure. Certainly you can tell that they haven’t competed in-person for about year or so now,” Ward said. “Getting back into it was definitely something that I think they all looked forward to right.”
There are a few more competition in store for the Calico gymnasts, with team members slated to compete in Saskatoon, Yorkton and Regina.
“The team’s excited to be able to travel to other clubs as well to compete,” Ward said.
