Cocaine, cash seized in Prince Albert raid

PRINCE ALBERT - The Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team (PACRT) has concluded a drug trafficking investigation with the arrests of three people.

On Jan. 8 at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team conducted enforcement action at a business in the hospitality industry in the 3500 block of 2nd Avenue West.

A 20-year-old man, 18-year-old man, and 19-year-old woman suspected of trafficking illicit substances were arrested.

A search warrant was executed and the following items were seized as a result of the investigation: $2,350 CAD; 124.9 grams of cocaine; two digital scales; three cell phones; and other paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

The 20-year-old man is now facing charges relating to possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.

The other two individuals who were arrested were released without charges
