PRINCE ALBERT - The Prince Albert Police Service has charged a 31-year-old woman with aggravated assault following a report of interpersonal violence Monday night.
On Jan. 6 at approximately 9:50 p.m., police were called to a residence in the 500 block of 12th Street West for a report of an altercation between a male and female where a male had been stabbed.
Arriving officers quickly located a female and an injured male.
Paramedics arrived on scene and the 33-year-old man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing.
The female was arrested shortly after without further incident.
Two knives were seized at the scene.
Upon further investigation, officers learned the man and woman were in a verbal altercation before the woman allegedly stabbed the man with a knife.
As a result, the 31-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated assault.
It is believed the victim and suspect were known to one another.
