No one injured in drive by shooting in Prince Albert

Three people charged but investigation continues.

PRINCE ALBERT - The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating following a drive by shooting on Sunday. No one was injured but three people have been charged.

At approximately 11:45 a.m. on March 30, police were called to the 200 block of Oxford Street NW for a weapons offence. Initial information stated a vehicle drove through an alley and then two gunshots were heard.

On the scene, officers located damage to a property consistent with a firearm being discharged.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene immediately after the incident; however, officers located the vehicle a few hours later parked in the 900 block of Albright Crescents, say police. A high-risk vehicle stop was conducted and three occupants, two males and one female, were arrested without further incident.

Upon further search of the vehicle, two firearms and an air soft gun were located from the vehicle and seized.

A 34-year-old man, 23-year-old man, and 23-year-old woman are facing charges relating to careless use and storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, tampering with a serial number, and prohibited weapon in a motor vehicle. The shooting remains under investigation.
