SASKATOON - A man and a woman are facing charges following a firearms investigation by the SPS Guns and Gangs Unit.
Shortly before 3 p.m., Jan. 28, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit, arrested a 41-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman in the 100 block of Avenue Q South. A search warrant was later conducted at a home in the area that resulted in the seizure of two modified prohibited firearms and several other weapons, including bear spray and knives.
The man and woman are facing a total of 13 weapons-related charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon, carry concealed weapon, careless storage of firearm, prohibited possession of firearm, possession of prohibited firearm and ammunition, and unauthorized possession of firearm.
