Teen faces charges after stabbing in Saskatoon

SASKATOON - A 17-year-old male youth was arrested following a stabbing on Saturday morning. 

At approximately 1 a.m., Jan. 11, patrol officers responded to a report of an injured person at an apartment in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive. Upon arrival, they located a 21-year-old female suffering from a stab wound. Upon further investigation, officers located the suspect still in the building. He was arrested and found to be in possession of a knife, as well as a bag containing ammunition and cocaine. 

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The 17-year-old youth is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of cocaine, prohibited possession of ammunition, and breaching court-ordered conditions.
