UNITY - Senior reporter Sherri Solomko and freelance reporter Helena Long have been named finalists for the Saskatchewan Weekly Â鶹´«Ã½s Association's 2022 Better Â鶹´«Ã½s Competition.
Solomko is finalist in the category for "Best Health/Healthcare Coverage, Single Story of Feature" for her story titled Recent area graduates now front line of pandemic. She is also a finalist in the "Best Habitat Conservation Writing" for Unity bat story comes to a conclusion. She was also selected as a finalist for her black and white photo Hidden Horse.
Long is a finalist for "Best First Nations Coverage" for her opinion piece under Phippen Philospophy.
Both Solomko and Long have a number of past SWNA awards hanging in Unity's Press-Herald office, that showcases the quality work that has been done by the Press-Herald team.
