SENLAC — The quiet village of Senlac was anything but over the Oct. 21-22 weekend, where Godwin Street was lined with vehicles.
The Senlac Gun Club held its annual gun show with 18 vendors filling the Senlac Hall with firearms, ammunition, knives, scopes, books and other miscellaneous items marksmen dream of.
Club member Jim Chase said he was happy to see such a great turn out, with more than 400 in attendance. Tickets were sold over the weekend to raffle off a rifle, which was won by Clayton Kramer.
The Senlac Gun Club currently have 78 members and has been active for the past 36 years. The female members are usually tasked with making homemade pies to be sold over the gun show weekend, along with serving burgers and drinks out of the booth.
“In the 36 years we have had a gun show, we have never sold a store-bought pie,” says Chase.
Chase also says that if anyone is interested in becoming a member of the Senlac Gun Club, there is always time to join.
