UNITY - The Unity Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the town of Unity in hosting an all-candidate’s forum in the lead up to the Sept. 20 federal election. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear party platforms as well as direct questions to the candidates in attendance.
Confirmed candidates for this Sept. 9 event being held in the upper hall of the Unity Community Centre are: current MP, Rosemarie Falk, Conservatives; Larry Ingram, Liberals; Erik Hansen, NDP; and Ken Rutherford, Maverick Party.
Unity is in the Battlefords-Lloydminster riding and there are candidates filed for other parties but they will not have representatives at the event. Terry Sieben is running for the PPC while Kerri Wall is the candidate for the Green Party.
Beginning at 7 p.m., a moderator will introduce candidates who will then be given the floor to present their party’s platform. The event’s moderator will also field questions from the floor.
