ANDREW, Lois M. (nee Bye)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Andrew in the early morning of Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Pasqua Hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband Ted Andrew; parents Kittil and Ida Bye; six siblings and their spouses, older sisters Beatrice, Agnes and Lillian; younger brothers Ken, Bill and Ron.

Lois was born and raised primarily in Estevan and briefly as a young child in Ratcliffe (1931). Being the middle child of seven, she learned to stand her ground and be heard. Frequently she told the staff at the Sunset Care Home to “Hurry Up”. Thank you to the Sunset staff who treated her with kindness.

As a wife of a RCMP member she lived in several locations in Saskatchewan before dad was posted to Regina in the late 1960’s, (Estevan, Milestone and Kindersley). In recognition of the unofficial duties required by small town posting, she was one of many “Unpaid Second Man” who helped the small detachments function.

In addition to her sons Ronald (Sandra) and Donald, Lois leaves to cherish her memory her numerous nieces and nephews who have lost their Matriarch of the Bye family.

Cremation has taken place and Lois will join her husband at the RCMP cemetery at a later date.

Donations in memory of Lois may be made to the RCMP Heritage Centre, 5907 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 0B4.

Family and friends are invited to leave tributes at . Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
