FALK
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Evelyn Lois Falk, who passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, at the age of 68 years. She was born on November 7th, 1956, in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Ev was a devoted mother and loving wife. She was also a welcoming host; our home was always open, the headquarters for our friends throughout our childhood, a nexus for her church and friend community, her home daycare, and Bed and Breakfast. She was actively involved in her community through Cornerstone Christian School, the Cantabile Choir, Christian Counselling Centre, Joe’s Place, and St. Aidan Church.
She is reunited with her late husband, George Falk, who passed away in 2008. Following his passing, Ev rediscovered her love of cycling and the outdoors, leading cycling groups around Moose Jaw, participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, and even completing a ride across the Rocky Mountains. In the past years her illness prevented her from getting on her bike, and while we will miss her terribly, we know that she’s finally breathing freely again, in the arms of her Saviour.
Ev is survived by her parents, Dan and Freda Reimer; siblings: Ron (Wendy), Karon (Peter), and Vicki (Dave); children: Sean (Erin), Janice (Nick), Matthew (Kristina), Daniel (Sarah), and David (Leanne); grandchildren: Sage, Ty, Ruth, Izaak (Maddison), Stephen, Thomas, Annalie, Iris, Ruby, Lucie, Henry, Camille, and Katherine; great-grandchild, Elijah.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alliance Church, 14 Neslia Pl, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 1M9. Reverend Nancy Yee and Reverend Deacon Arleen Champion will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. As an expression sympathy, donations in Ev’s name may be made to St. Aidan Anglican Church, 124 1 Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0Y8 (). Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
