It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our nephew and cousin Ryan Hanna on January 16, 2025, with family by his side at the Regina General Hospital. Ryan was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on March 27, 1991.
Ryan was a fun loving and hard-working character with a witty sense of humour. Many knew Ryan by his nickname Homer. He helped on his grandparents’ farm from the time he could drive a tractor, always lending a helping hand when and wherever needed. Ryan started part time at Top Line Construction in grade 10 and went full time after he graduated and worked there until his passing.
Ryan attended William Grayson until Grade 6 then attended Empire for the rest of his elementary school years. He then attended Peacock for his high school years where he played football from grade 9 – 12. He also played soccer from a very young age.
Ryan is predeceased by his mother Maureen Hanna; grandparents Garth and Liz Hanna and uncle Stewart. Ryan will be sadly missed by his uncles Scott (Debbie), Rodney (Tracy) and Darcy; cousins Jamie (Ashley), Darren (Hannah), Chris (Jill), Lauralee (Joey) and Leah; second cousins Sophie, Sydney and Maverick as well as special friends Chris, Alicia, Liam and Lorne.
The family would like to thank Ryan’s coworkers for all they did for Ryan, the doctors and staff at Dr. F. H. Wigmore Hospital Emergency and the doctors and staff at the MICU Regina General Hospital.
