REGINA — Tickets are going on sale Friday, May 27 for Bryan Adams’ concerts in Regina and Saskatoon, and there are a few things the province wants purchasers to know.
Adams is playing at the Brandt Centre in Regina Nov 4, and SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon Nov. 5. The province is reminding buyers that purchases made within 48 hours of the tickets going on sale should be made from a primary seller such as Ticketmaster or the concert venue itself.
Resellers are not allowed to sell tickets within the first 48 hours of going on sale to the public. After 48 hours, they can advertise and resell tickets, but the public is warned that resellers tend to inflate prices and can even sell tickets on a primary seller's website.
To avoid inflated prices, people are urged to consider purchasing tickets from a primary seller.
The province is also warning that tickets bought from a resale site within the first 48 hours might be faked. Your tickets could be fake if they are listed for sale without specific seat numbers, or listed in U.S. dollar amounts for a Canadian show.
The province is also noting that if you do get a fake ticket, it may be easier to get a refund by purchasing tickets with a credit card as opposed to cash or debit. Purchasers are urged to read the terms and conditions on the card to understand what protections are available.
