Tickets on sale for 2023 Saskatchewan Winter Games

The 2023 Games will be a landmark event, marking the 50th anniversary of the biennial Saskatchewan Games program.

REGINA - The 2023 Saskatchewan Winter Games Host Organizing Committee is excited to launch its ticket program ahead of the 2023 Games in Regina. The 2023 Winter Games will be held from February 19 to 25.

The 2023 Saskatchewan Winter Games will bring together nearly 1,800 young athletes, managers and coaches from every corner of the province to take part in 17 different sports and share in the thrill of competition and camaraderie on the provincial stage. The 2023 Games will be a landmark event, marking the 50th anniversary of the biennial Saskatchewan Games program. This is the first time in program history that the Games will be hosted in Regina.

“We are thrilled to be launching our ticket sales to the public on December 1st. The coming months will see young athletes taking part in play downs all across the province to earn their spot at the 2023 Saskatchewan Winter Games, and we know that there are so many parents, family members, supporters, community members, and sports fans who are eager to secure their tickets so they can cheer these athletes on as they make lifelong memories at the Games.” said Valerie Sluth, chairperson, 2023 Saskatchewan Winter Games, Regina.

The following passes and event tickets are on sale: full week Games pass (adult) - $45; full week Games pass (youth) - $35; half week pass (adult) - $30; half week pass (youth) - $20; opening ceremony (Feb. 19) - $10; and closing ceremony (Feb. 25) - $10.

During the Games, Day Passes will also be available for sale at select sport venues and will include entry to all sport events on a given day on a first-come, first-served basis.Youth ages five and under receive free entry to all Games events and ceremonies provided they are accompanied by an adult with a ticket, event pass, or 2023 Games credentials.

The following events will not require ticketed entry and are free of charge for spectators: Alpine Ski, Biathlon, Cross Country Ski, and Snowboard.

Tickets can be purchased online at the 2023 Sask. Winter Games website at www.saskgames.ca, and in person beginning December 1 until  February 17 at the Saskatchewan Games Council office in Regina, located at 280-1870, Albert Street.

The Saskatchewan Games were first established in 1972. The purpose of the Saskatchewan Games is to provide an opportunity for the province’s developing athletes, coaches and officials to participate in an exciting multi-sport event in preparation for a higher level of competition.

Countless Saskatchewan Games alumni have advanced to competition at the national level and beyond, with Olympians such as Emily Clarke, Marsha Hudey and Lucas Makowsky stating that the Saskatchewan Winter Games were a key step in their journey to the highest levels of sport.
