Police seize imitation firearm, bear spray after weapons complaint

SASKATOON - Two Saskatoon teens are facing a number of weapons-related charges following a call to police, Friday night.

On April 11 at 11:30 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to a weapons call at 22nd Street East and 1st Avenue North.

It was reported to police that three youths had been observed fighting and one of them had a gun.

Upon arrival, officers observed the three individuals, with one of them passing a firearm to another who was seen placing it in their pocket.

All three individuals were initially arrested with one later being released. One male was located with an imitation firearm and bear spray on his person.

Two 16-year-old male youths are facing a total of six firearm- and weapons-related offences.
