Albert Joseph Fréçon. Sept. 20, 1925 - Oct. 29, 2013

Albert Fréçon of Redvers, born Sept. 20, 1925, peacefully passed at Gainsborough Health Centre on Oct. 29, 2013, with family at his side.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years, Clarisse, and 7 children, David (Bonne) of Redvers, Lucille (Louis) Gervais of Alida, Irene (Don) McLeod of Weyburn, Fabien (Aggie) of Redvers, Emile of Redvers, Brian (Wendy) of Redvers and Odette (Russ) Annetts of Sylvan Lake, Alberta; along with 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren Albert is also survived by his siblings, Marcel, Mary-Louise Real, Vital (Elsie), Jeanne Saleski and Clothilda Bouvier (Ernie Bokenfohr); sisters-in-law, Lorraine Fréçon and Jeannine Fréçon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert was predeceased by his parents, Rene and Alice Fréçon; brothers, Paul and Lucien; brothers-in-law, Bill Real and Peter Saleski and sister-in-law Denise Fréçon.

Albert and Clarisse lived on the homestead farm. He saw farming evolve from horses and plows, binders and thrashers to diesel tractors with 20 ft. cultivators, versatile swathers and combines. He was also a beef and pork farmer, butcher, barber and school bus driver. He had other skills to maintain his farm, house, vehicles and machinery.

Albert was involved in the community by volunteering on different boards: the church Parish Council, Bellegarde Co-op, Redvers Hospital, Bellegarde Credit Union, councillor for the R.M. of Storthoaks and the Knights of Columbus.

A Prayer Service was held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Anthony Padayatty. Both services were held at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Redvers. Interment took place in the Redvers Town Cemetery. Those wishing to make donations in Albert's memory may do so directly to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan (301 - 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1), Gainsborough Health Centre Activities Fund (PO Box 420, Gainsborough, SK S0C 0Z0) or a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Redvers.

Clarisse and the family of Albert Fréçon would like to thank all his health care providers, especially the staff of the Gainsborough Health Center and Dr. Botha for their great care and for supporting us during Albert's failing health. Thanks to all for the many phone calls, cards, food, flowers, texts, visits, prayers, masses, hugs and kind words of sympathy through our very difficult time. Thanks to Rev. Anthony Padayatty for celebrating the Funeral Mass, the CWL for the Prayer Vigil lunch and to the grandchildren for participating in the Funeral Service. Thanks to the Church Choir and soloists, Germain Lefebvre and Suzanne Millette. Thanks to the Knights of Columbus for the Honour Guard, and to Dustin Hall from Hall Funeral Services for your support, guidance, and great talent of singing and of music.
