Alex passed away at the Sunset Haven Nursing Home, Carnduff, Sask. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at the age of 93 years.
Alex is survived by sons, Louis (Lucille) and Noel, daughter-in-law Marcia; seven grandchildren: Phoebe, Neil (Melissa), Andrea (Dirk), Conrad (Jayde), Ryan, Nigel (Nicole) and Troy; eleven great grandchildren: Hayley, Bronwyn, Strahn, Xavier, Xander, Marlee, Kenzie, Peyton, Zadie, Karsyn and Tenley; brothers-in-law Antoine (Therese) Boutin, Romeo (Marguerite) Boutin, sisters-in-law Margaret Gervais, Victoria, Bertha and Irene Boutin, Marie Piwowan, Angeline (Roland) Boulet; also numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Aurore Gervais, stepmom Lucia Gervais, wife Julia, son Oneil, brothers Leonce, Victor, Paul and half brother Frank Gervais, step brother Jean and step sister Franceline; sisters-in-law Marguerite and Evelyn Gervais; brothers-in-law Ross and Laurier Boutin and Joe Piwowan; nephews Nicholas Gervais, Roy Boutin and Randy Piwowan.
The funeral service was held at the St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, Cantal, Sask. on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Father Melchor Facundo Samonte officiated. Interment at St. Raphael's Parish Cemetery.

Thank you for the many expressions of sympathy shown to us at the time of Alex Gervais' passing. We appreciate all the phone calls, cards, lovely flowers, delicious food and baking, hugs, friendly visits and memorial donations.
Special thanks to Dr. Botha, Dr. Hymen (they are more than a family doctor) and the Oxbow Hospital staff for their devoted care and attention.
