Hazel Richardson passed away at the Stoughton Nursing Home on March 16, 2013. Hazel was at the age of 95.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Darlene, grandson Trevor (Lisa), granddaughter Debbie (Bret) and five great-grandkids - Mitchell, Makenna, Carter, Brody and Dineka. Her sister-in-law Myrtle and various nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband James, parents Thomas and Christina Corrigan and siblings James, Agnes, Harvey, Archie and Margaret and son-in-law Keith. Brother and sister-in-laws Art and Irene Richardson, Ted and May Hewitt, Lawrence and Carrie Rutten.

Hazel was born December 30, 1917 at Macrorie, SK and when she was just 11 months old her family moved to the Carlyle area. On December 27, 1939 she married James Richardson and they had one daughter Darlene.

Hazel will be truly missed by everyone. She was a great friend to many and a grandma to more than just Trevor and Deb. Hazel was an advocate of watching kids play sports, not just her grandkids or great-grandkids.

Funeral was held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Carlyle United Church with Reverend Sung Shim. Interment was at Moose Creek Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Orsted Funeral Home, Carlyle.

The family of Hazel wishes to express their sincere gratitude to family and friends who gave comfort with visits, gifts of food, flowers, memorial donations and cards. We would also wish to express sincere gratitude to the Stoughton Nursing Home, and all the nurses and doctors that helped keep Hazel as comfortable as possible.
