EFFORD: The family of Phyllis Efford sadly announces her passing on July 24, 2014 at the age of 92 years.
Phyllis was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Harold, in 2002, her parents, Aubrey and Edith Beatty, her brothers, Ralph, Claire, Clifford Keith and her sisters, Audrey Callan and Edythe Kyle. She is survived by her brother, Harold (Hap) and Dorothy Beatty and sister-in-law, Lorraine Beatty, as well as numerous nieces and nephews to whom she was affectionately known as Auntie Phyll.
She is survived by her children, Diane and Al, Nora and Bill, Niaomi and Aime, Lucinda and Ian, Terry Lynne and Gord and Dwight, grandchildren, Trevor, Chandelle, Derek and Connie, Whitney and Greg, Aaron and Toni, eight great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Karly, Aliyah, Kieran, MaiaLynn, Jaxon, McKenzie, Leah and step grandchildren, Codey and Payden. The great grandchildren knew her as Nana in the Mountains.
Phyllis was born on Nov. 23, 1921 on the farm in the Cannington Manor, Saskatchewan area. She married Harold Efford on June 27, 1945. They farmed in the Manor area for over 50 years until moving to Windermere, BC to live with their daughter, Nora in 2000.
The memorial service will be held in All Saints Anglican Church at Cannington Manor on August 23, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Knox United Church, Manor or Columbia House, P.O. Bag 5001, Invermere, BC V0A 1K0.
