William (Bill) Keddy Jefferson

William (Bill) Keddy Jefferson passed away Aug. 28 2014 in Indian Head, SK at the age of 78.

Bill was born in Arcola, Sask., Mar. 18, 1936, son of Arnold and Marion Jefferson. Bill was raised on the farm his grandfather homesteaded in 1882, south east of Arcola.

He attended Buffalo Head and Arcola schools. After he finished school he worked o the farm and had various jobs. In 1963 he was employed with Saskatchewan Department of Highways. In 1974 he was transferred to Moose Jaw where he retired. He worked for a Janitorial company.

He met his soul mate Vi Thomson and they moved to Indian Head, three years ago they moved to Carry The Kettle First Nations.

Funeral service was held Sept. 3 2014 at the Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, in Wolseley, Saskatchewan. Rev. Bernice Saulteaux officiated, Willard Thomson played guitar and sang some of Bill's favorite music. Interment was in South Cemetery, Carry The Kettle First Nation. He was predeceased by his parents Arnold and Marion Jefferson, Brother-in-law Murray Clark.

He leaves to mourn in passing, his partner Vi Thomson and her family Maureen (Dale), Colleen (Doug), Victor (Aleks), Clautte and eight grand children. Sister Carolyn Clark (Wally) VanAlstyne, nephews Jim Clark (Lora Lee), Randy Clark, Cameron Clark (Norma), Glen Clark, great niece Jamie, great nephews Shaun, Shane, Jordan, Ryan (Alex) Kael. Great great niece Addison.

The family of Bill would like to express their thanks for cards, flowers, and kindness shown to us at this difficult time. To Tubman Funeral Home, Rev. Bernice Saulteaux for the kind words, Willard Thomson for the lovely music, members of Carry The Kettle First Nation for the feast. Doctors and nurses at Regina General Hospital and Indian Head Hospital for taking good care of Bill and keeping him comfortable for the last three months.
