EPS arrest Weyburn man on outstanding warrants

ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service supported Weyburn department on Tuesday.

Members arrested a Weyburn man on an outstanding warrant on April 23. He was held in custody to be taken before a judge.

Officers also received a report of a vehicle hit and run that occurred on Nicholson Road further information was immediately released.

The EPS also responded to a report of a debit card that had been lost and then used at several locations around the city. The matter is under investigation.

Members dealt with a report of loud noises coming from a residence in the south part of the city. Officers attended and warned the residents of the bylaw.

The EPS received a report of an elderly woman who might need assistance in the downtown area. Members attended and assisted the woman with transportation to her residence.

Several electronic items were also reported missing from a residence. The matter is under investigation.

Officers responded to a call through the Report Impaired Drivers (RID) line on April 24 regarding a vehicle entering the city on Sister Roddy Road. Members located the vehicle and spoke with the driver. No signs of impairment were found.

The EPS also dealt with a request for a well-being check on a man in the central part of the city. Members attended and spoke with the man, and no further action was required.
