ESTEVAN — As a result of the continuing investigation into two men found to be in possession of break-in tools in the early morning hours on Sept. 18, a search warrant was executed at a condominium complex in the northeast area of Estevan.
The search located stolen property, including approximately 300 kilograms of copper, along with additional evidence to support charges in the investigation.
EPS has jointly charged the two men involved in this occurrence for possessing instruments suitable for the purpose of breaking into a place or vehicle contrary to section 351(1) of the Criminal Code.
Additionally, as a result of evidence located during execution of the search warrant, one of the men has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
Both individuals were released on conditions of an undertaking with a future court date to speak to the charges.
EPs also received a complaint of multiple vehicles speeding on Alice Road in the early morning hours. Targeted traffic enforcement will be conducted in the area in the upcoming month.
A suspicious man was reported to be present in Churchill Park. Following contact with EPS members, the man was arrested for being intoxicated in public and was to be released once sober and able to care for himself.
