Pleasantdale School and Sacred Heart School/École Sacré Coeur, went into hold and secure briefly on Friday afternoon.
According to the South East Cornerstone Public School Division, the exterior doors for Pleasantdale were locked for 15 minutes "as a result of working with our police partners out of an abundance of caution to maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff.
"At no time were any students in danger. We work closely with our partners to ensure a safe and caring learning environment exists at all times," the school division said.
