UPDATE: Souris Avenue South from First Street to Second Street is open again as of Thursday afternoon. Souris Avenue South is part of Highway 47.

ESTEVAN - The City of Estevan announced Wednesday that Souris Avenue South between First Street and Second Street would be closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
The road, which is part of Highway 47, will have no though traffic due to road construction. Heavy truck traffic and vehicle traffic is requested to use an alternate route at this time.
The city recommends that people avoid this area until the construction work has been completed.
As well, Pettigrew Road is closed on Wednesday between Thorn Crescent and Grundeen Crescent with no through traffic due to road construction.
