WEYBURN — Envision Counselling and Support Centre is calling on southeast Saskatchewan residents to complete a new survey aimed at assessing the region’s capacity to support individuals and families affected by gender-based and domestic violence.
The confidential, five-minute online questionnaire is open until May 9 and welcomes input from survivors, service providers, employers, educators and community allies. Organizers say the responses will inform a feasibility study exploring the need for a regional shelter and other support services.
“Community insight is the cornerstone of effective, trauma-informed services,” Envision said in a release. “By sharing their experiences and observations, residents help us design solutions that truly reflect southeast Saskatchewan’s needs and strengths.”
Participants must be 16 or older and live, work or study in the region. The survey can be accessed at , on their social media, or directly at .
All responses are anonymous and will be combined for analysis. The final report will be shared with municipal leaders, Indigenous partners, government ministries and local organizations to guide evidence-based decision-making and funding priorities.
Envision Counselling and Support Centre has served southeast Saskatchewan since 1994, offering counselling, crisis support, in-home services, and educational programming through offices in Weyburn, Estevan, Carlyle and Oxbow.
