STOUGHTON - Two men were charged after firearms and drug-trafficking paraphernalia were seized from a home in Stoughton.
On Aug. 28, the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Fillmore detachment and the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) from Yorkton executed a search warrant at a home in Stoughton as part of an ongoing investigation.
Officers located and seized: a firearm; two airsoft firearms; ammunition; a small amount of cocaine; trafficking paraphernalia; and a sum of cash.
The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team assisted with this investigation.
Two men were arrested without incident at the home.
Jyron Englot, a 23-year-old man, and Paul Englot, 46, both from Stoughton, are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking; unauthorized possession of a firearm; and careless storage of a firearm. The older man is also charged with possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. The 23-year-old is also charged with breach of a release order.
Both appeared in Weyburn Provincial Court on Aug. 29.
