ASSINIBOIA - Many events were hosted by the Assiniboia Rotary Club in November and December.
In November the Assiniboia Rotary club hosted the Popcorn Productions at the Prince Of Wales. It was a huge success due to everyone that attended.
The Rotary Club would like to congratulate the Popcorn Productions cast and crew for the excellent shows they produced. They appreciate all the volunteers that helped us out in many ways.
Ryla Camp students took time to volunteer, and sold tickets on a gift basket. They included Genevieve Simard, Fallon Pituley, Gracie Eldstrom, and Rylee Huys. These students attended Ryla Camp and had the opportunity to learn about leadership, and the importance of volunteering.
The Assiniboia Rotary club sends young students to this camp yearly and the funds raised from the gift basket ticket sales will go towards this camp.
The Assiniboia Rotary Club also hosted their annual Carol Festival on December 4 and everyone that attended was treated to some excellent Christmas entertainment.
The monthly trivia event was held at 121 Steakhouse on December 5. This event includes a spot and prizes that are given after each round. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy an evening our and some friendly competition.
The Rotary Club also entered a float in the Santa Parade, hosted on Dec. 7.
The club extend a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
