ESTEVAN - Highway 47 south of Estevan is looking better, thanks to the efforts of a couple of organizations earlier this week.
The Rotary Club of Estevan held its annual highway cleanup Tuesday evening, and Rotarians were joined by about 30 members of the Benson 4-H Beef Club. The volunteers picked up garbage that had accumulated in the ditches during the fall, winter and early spring.
A social followed the cleanup effort.
Other organizations in the southeast will have similar events this spring on stretches of highways they have adopted.
