Hockey Day in Weyburn set for December 3

WEYBURN - Weyburn Minor Hockey and the Weyburn Gold Wings and Weyburn Red Wings will be celebrating hockey on Saturday, Dec. 3, with a number of special activities.

There will be street hockey with players from the Gold Wings and Red Wings, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Crescent Point Place parking lot, then the players are available for autographs at 11:30.

The Gold Wings will then host the Prince Albert Bears at 3 p.m., and the Red Wings host the Humboldt Broncos at 7 p.m., both at Crescent Point Place.

If any minor hockey players wear their jerseys, they can get into either game for free.

In addition, the Weyburn Tim Horton’s U7 teams will be hosting eight teams for a two-day tournament at the Tom Zandee Sports Arena on Saturday and Sunday.
