The Weyburn A&W restaurant is holding several events in the upcoming months in an attempt to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of Canada.
Restaurant owner Rakesh Pandey said that one of the reasons that they chose to support the MS Foundation is the high incidence of the disease in the province.
"Saskatchewan has the highest rate of MS in the whole country," said Pandey.
A&W will be holding a variety of family activities in order to get public support for their cause. There will be "Cruisin' for Cause" events most Thursday evenings until the end of August, in which the public is invited to show-off their classic cars, take part in contests and meet the A&W Bear.
"Our hope is that we will be raising $12,000 a year for MS, within two years time," said Pandey.
Residents are encouraged to buy an MS foot to raise funds for the cause.
